Hi everybody,
It’s that time again. The Gold Coast ride is just around the corner and we are in need of 3 volunteers to help out at the Roslyn rest stop. Volunteers will be making PB&J sandwiches and providing snacks and beverages to hungry cyclists as they pass through the area. We would really appreciate your help. The Gold Coast is HBC’s time to shine and to raise the bulk of our funds for the year. So please consider helping out on July 12. Anyone interested in volunteering can contact me, Tracy at 516-729-0313.
Thank You!!!
Gene here…not sure how to start a new thread…this format is new to me and quite confusing…much like fire…and the wheel…always something new!
Anyway…recently on a ride, I believe it was Pat, said that LIRR rarely checks for bike passes. It got me a thinkin’, and LIRR told me that you can actually buy a lifetime bike pass for $5 ON THE TRAIN! Now I’m thinking about training to the East, and riding home. Or one day, setting out east, and when I’m pooped….catching a ride home. The possibilities are ENDLESS!
Well…actually…there are just those two…but, sounds cool. Being a new rider means a lot of this is new and cool. PS. It was me this morning giving a shout out to the C ride passing the Commack library.
Greetings to anyone who remembers me – Gary Price. As Mark Twain famously once said “Reports of my death have been highly exaggerated.”
I am actually in China now, starting an Italian Wine business called Cambulac, so I will not be able to ride Gold Coast this year. My son Travis, now 10 and about 5′ 3″ for anyone who knows him called me today to tell me we would not only miss the ride, but not be able to get the ride shirts.
Are they available yet? Travis and his brother are coming to spend the Summer in China with me. If we could wear the shirts in Beijing, it would be not only very cache, but think of the brand exposure.
Kidding aside, can we buy three; one medium, one large, and one extra-large and pick them up before Monday July 6th?
Please.
Thanks – if some kind soul replies, please do so by email: garyprice64@gmail.com Thanks and have a great Gold Coast.
