Bike club members are invited to run stations where children learn proper road cycling:
Hand signals, proper helmet fitting, proper bike fitting, maneuvering around obstacles and other skills will be covered.

The following is the plan for the day of the Rodeo. Volunteers are needed to fill these positions. Please click the link and Volunteer for this special event.
1) Set up: report at 8 AM, 4 people
Everybody else reports at 9:30- for instructions, hand outs, etc...
2) Check in: 2 people
3) Bike Check: 4-6 people, Checking equipment condition, tire pressure, seat height, brakes, bike size
4) Helmet Check: 2 people, Check condition and adjustment of helmets
5) Hand Signals: 2 people, Practice how to signal turns and stopping
6) How to safely start and stop: 2 people, From straddling bike to coasting to a stop, to safely dismounting
7) Scanning and Turning: The art of looking to the rear and how to stay on the correct side of the road, 2 people
8) Maneuvering road hazards: 2 people
9) Driveway onto traffic simulation: 2 people
10) Crazy Crossroads: Proper procedures for Stop signs and intersections, 2 people
(11) Completion: Certificates/goodie bags, back to check-in people)
12) 2 PM clean up: 4-6 people
